FUNDING

Government Subsidised Training – Eligibility Enquiry

Am I eligible for Career Ready, Career Start or Career Boost Government Funding?

You may be eligible for subsidised training under the Queensland Government’s Career Ready, Career Start or Career Boost programs, depending on your individual circumstances.
These programs are designed to help eligible Queensland residents gain skills for in‑demand jobs by providing access to government-subsidised training, subject to eligibility requirements, funding availability and applicable student contribution fees.

How it works

  • Subsidies are provided by the Queensland Government to approved training providers
  • Available funding and eligibility requirements vary by program and qualification
  • Students may still be required to pay a student contribution fee or other costs

From 1 July 2025, updated funding arrangements are in place to:

  • Improve access to training for priority industries
  • Support positive student outcomes
  • Deliver training aligned to workforce needs across Queensland

Important information

  • Eligibility criteria apply and must be assessed for each student
  • Not all courses are subsidised under every program
  • Funding availability is subject to change
  • Participation in a subsidised program does not guarantee employment outcomes

Fees and Costs
Some eligible students may pay a reduced student contribution fee (in some cases from $50, depending on the qualification and funding program).

Fees will be confirmed prior to enrolment and are dependent on eligibility and course selection.
